Commitment to Professional Growth

CAS teachers have access to a wide range of Professional Growth opportunities. Our proximity and easy access to Europe provides a wide range of seminars, conferences, and workshops on the continent. These opportunities give the chance to connect with other international school teachers who share your commitment to continuous professional growth. In addition CAS hosts many professional growth opportunities on campus by bringing in consultants and experts as well as tapping into the talent of our own teachers with the spirit of sharing and collaborating with other American Schools here in Morocco. Examples of such workshops in the past couple years have included NWEA MAP assessment, AERO consultants (ELA and Math for the past two years) and Positive Discipline. Ongoing workshops at weekly meetings and during PD days are excellent opportunities to share and learn as a teaching community.

In addition CAS is in the presently process of re-establishing a Masters/Graduate course program on campus through Framingham College in Massachusetts with commencement of the first cohort scheduled for the fall of 2017.
CAS teachers are encouraged to find opportunities to further their skills and knowledge that align with their professional development goals and the schools mission, vision and programs with the potential of professional development financial support funds from the school.
