Advisory Committees
Advisory Committees play an essential role in supporting the Board of Governors' stewardship of our school's mission. To ensure broad community representation and rigorous planning, the Board openly invites community members to join advisory committees every year. Over the past five years, 59 dedicated parent and staff volunteers have actively served on our committees, ensuring strong representation from across our Association.
Currently, there are six active committees where volunteers serve alongside the School Director, often working closely with recognized external experts. These committees serve in an advisory, supportive, and fact-finding role. While holding no deliberative or administrative authority, effective committees enhance decision-making by providing useful information and consensus-based policy and strategic recommendations to the Board. The Board builds on this work to make informed decisions. Accordingly, the Board submits major financial and capital proposals to the General Assembly for final approval.
Finally, to ensure the highest standards of integrity, all committee members are held to the same rigorous Code of Conduct and Ethics as Board members.
