Raising awareness to Jerusalema's beat for the Les Amis du Ruban Rose
Fatiha Sajid

For the past two years CAS students have worked closely with this organization trying to send out a message of hope and the significance of early prevention. They have created awareness campaigns, participated in service actions with cancer fighters, and fundraised money through multiple projects.

Words can’t describe how proud we are of our Cobras!

In loving memory of the co-founder of the association @lesamisdurubanrose empowered women (current fighters, survivors, cancer family members, caregivers) each with a different story flood our soccer field this Sunday as they danced to the hit tune “Jerusalema”.

As a part of their IB CAS Project, our three seniors; Sabrine Benzakour, Hiba Hansali, and Ahmad Al Saleh worked closely with les amies du ruban rose to continue to raise awareness for breast cancer. For the past two years CAS students have worked closely with this organization trying to send out a message of hope and the significance of early prevention. They have created awareness campaigns, participated in service actions with cancer fighters, and fundraised money through multiple projects. Since October 2020 they designed and produced pink face masks that they have sold and also distributed to women in Oncology centers. We would like to thank @kmama.ma for their generous contribution and support for the pink face masks.

The continued efforts over these past two years have enabled the students to donate 140 customized blankets for the new oncology center in Oujda and 27 breast implants for women in need.

We would like to thank Chama Chraibi, class of 2012, who has helped create the beautiful background for this dance with the help of two of our IB Art students and several PTC moms. Thank you to Atlas Peinture for their generous donation of paint! A big thank you to our PTC moms for their continued support as they brought again their magic touch to this event with their breakfast bags and pink balloon ribbons!

Words can’t describe how proud we are of our Cobras!
