CAS Makes History at Under-14 Mediterranean Cup

Casablanca American School (CAS) has once again made waves in the world of athletics, securing a historic victory at the Under-14 Mediterranean Cup held in Verona, Italy. The tournament, which saw the participation of sixty-eight teams representing 33 schools from 17 different countries, proved to be a true test of skill and determination.

Both the boys' and girls' teams from CAS exhibited outstanding performance throughout the tournament, clinching victories in their Saturday semi-final and Sunday final matches. This remarkable achievement marks the first time in CAS history, as well as in the annals of Moroccan and African sports, that both teams have emerged victorious in the Mediterranean tournament, competing against formidable opponents from Europe and Africa.

The triumph of the CAS Cobras not only showcases their athletic prowess but also serves as a testament to the spirit of sportsmanship and excellence instilled within the school community. The players' dedication, teamwork, and resilience have not only brought pride to CAS but also to Morocco and Africa as a whole.

A special commendation is due to the dedicated coaches who have played a pivotal role in guiding and inspiring the athletes to reach their full potential. Mr. Niah Bachir, in particular, has demonstrated unwavering commitment and hard work, motivating the team to push beyond their limits and achieve greatness. Coaches Mr. Lotfi and Mr. Remy have also been instrumental in nurturing the players, serving as mentors and role models both on and off the field. Additionally, Mr. Nabil's dedication and contributions have significantly contributed to the team's success, further solidifying CAS's position as a powerhouse in sports.

Upon their triumphant return, the Cobras were welcomed with open arms by their parents and celebrated with live music, reinforcing the strong sense of community and camaraderie within CAS. These moments of joy and camaraderie serve as a reminder of the invaluable bonds forged through sports and the enduring spirit of unity that defines the CAS community.
