In 1987, the Casablanca American School sought an expansion plan that would allow the construction of a new campus in Californie that would be home to it's Nursery- Grade 12 students. The school board brought together funds and donations that made this project a true success.
With the help of the US Consul General Richard L. Jackson and the current school director John J. Randolph, Mr Dizzy Gillespie generously accepted to help fund this wonderful cause! Mr Gillespie donated more than one hundred million dirhams to the school.
